Montessori Night: An Evening in Your Child's Classroom

Each morning, our children walk into a classroom prepared for them. The shelves sit at their height, the materials are within reach, and each child chooses their own work.

On Thursday, October 15, parents get to do the same at Montessori Night. We welcome current and prospective parents.

The Evening

Our teachers ready each room as if for a school day. Parents come in, choose materials from the shelves, and work with them. Our teachers are there to explain what each material teaches.

The evening is for parents only so they can fully immerse themselves in their child's world for a little while.

Inside the Materials

Montessori materials teach through the hands. A child repeats an activity, notices a pattern, and corrects their own mistakes. Working with a material yourself shows how much thought sits inside something that looks simple on the shelf.

The classroom teaches too. Children select a work, carry it with care, finish it, and return it ready for the next person. Those habits build focus, coordination, and responsibility.
